New York Film Academy Lands in Colombia

Over the past decade, Colombia has had the pleasure to position itself as one of the most important artistic and creative hubs in Latin America and the world. With the rise of the local entertainment industry and the amount of Colombian artists touring and earning jobs overseas, groups of Top educational institutions are now looking in the country to find the most skilled and talented “Colombianos” in the performing and visual arts. Schools like Berklee College of Music, now have an obligated once-a-year stop in the Colombian capital to audition the best musical talent. On this occasion, Colombia welcomes the famous New York Film Academy for a week of auditions, workshops, and Master Classes.

The Event

From October 21st until October 25th, a team of professionals from the New York Film Academy, lead by Blake Babbitt, the Associate Director of Recruitment, will be touring Colombia through the cities of Bogotá, Cali, and Medellin. During their stay in the country, the team will conduct admission Auditions for students interested in pursuing degrees in Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Master of Fine Arts (MFA), Master of Arts (MA), Associate of Fine Arts (AFA), or a certificate in for one or two years at their Conservatory program in their fifteen Areas of Study.
