Paramo Presenta just released the Festival Estereo Picnic 2020 line-up, and Colombia is now preparing for the sixth edition of one of South America’s most influential music festivals. Headlined by The Strokes, The Chemical Brothers, and Guns N’ Roses, the three-day festival will bring one of the most exclusively curated line-ups on the upcoming days of April 3-5. Not only their crown jewel, but the FEP (Festival Estereo Picnic) is also Paramo Presenta‘s testament of dedication and years of hard work to match established names like “Lollapalooza” in the world-wide music festival circuit.
It all started back in 2010 when the parent companies Absent Papa and T310 decided to raid in a music scene that had a big following, but small representation in the South American country. Absent Papa and T310 became the go-to promoters for the best parties and single-night events on the independent music sector.
The teams’ rosters:
- Absent Papa – Juan David Shool, Gabriel García, Philippe Siegenthaler
- T310 – Sergio Pabón, Santiago Vélez, Julian Martínez
With an extensive offer of 8 music festivals and many other events all year long, Paramo Presenta quickly became one of the most (if not the most) relevant concert promoters in Colombia and Latin America.
- Festival Stereo Picnic
- Baum Festival
- Knotfest Colombia
- Festival Tatacoa
- Festival Hermoso Ruido
- Sónar Bogotá
- Baum Park
- Cosquin Rock
Primarily focused on the city of Bogotá, the companies later expanded their operations across the country and consolidated the scene for all the fans that felt unrepresented but thirsty for music. After a series of victories and losses between them as competitors, both companies decided to collaborate in 2013 and later join in 2016, forming Paramo Presenta: an organic and logical move.
Since the beginnings of the story, the parent companies and their heir have presented bands for the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Slipknot, Queens of the Stone Age, LCD Soundsystem, Andrés Calamaro, RHCPs, Snoop Dogg, and many more world-renown names to the Colombian fans.
Just like they wanted it to be, Colombia is now a must-to stop for all world-touring artists, and you can find them at one of Paramo Presenta’s festivals and events. Also, the Guns N’ Roses return is causing a great stir in between fans that have been waiting for the Gunners since the legendary 1992 concert.
