Simone Galdelli is a London-based professional musician with a decade of experience in the music industry. He is an in-demand session guitarist who has played with numerous singers and songwriters from The Voice Of Italy, The Voice Of Germany and X-Factor Italy. In the UK, he regularly plays with international artists (such as Sheila G, Feysal Bonciani, Ben Davis, Vahimiti, etc.) at festivals and venues.
He is also a resident artist in a 5-star hotel in Central London. He has a supremely interactive and engaging way of sharing his knowledge and skills, including guitar tutorials, harmony and progressions, and jazz tidbits. Check out his Instagram channel under his pseudonym its_thebeardedguitarist.
Music for Advertising and its future
The auto industry continues to grow and the impact it has on music and content has been even more evident than before. For instance, almost every car today comes with Car Play, Spotify, Pandora, you name it. That said, the future holds an even more interesting auto industry. Leaving aside the fact that most of us will not even buy or lease a car because of self-driving vehicles, transportation will most probably become an experience. Think of choosing the car you want on the way to work so you can do some exercise (i.e. think Peloton meets Uber), or a self-driving bus that goes between Newark and Manhattan with a pool inside.
Content, entertainment, music, and creativity will function as differentiators in the majority of industries where mundane tasks like driving will be automated.
Before we get to this future, a car buyer usually makes the decision of purchasing or leasing a car not exclusively because of its features, but because of how it makes them ‘feel’. And it usually begins with the music.
This Honda Civic ad created a few years ago is a clear example of how music is consciously integrated with how the brand team wanted you to feel about getting in this car. Think about the sound experience, the level of detail that the choir expresses and how this is reflected unto the car itself.
